Siam Compressor Industry Co., Ltd. (SCI) is Thailand's first manufacturer of rotary compressor for room air conditioner. SCI was founded on May 25, 1990 as a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation of Japan, a world leader in compressor technology with over 70 years of experience.

Further milestones:The launching of a new ozone-friendly compressor that does not use HCFC coolant in 1999, the opening of a third plant on October 16, 2002 and recently, the opening of the forth plant in June 2012.
Since 2003, SCI has been producing Advanced Scroll Compressor utilizing Frame-Complaint Mechanism technology, thus saving energy and minimizing energy loss due to friction.
